M.C. Escher (1898-1972) was a Dutch graphic artist, known for his impossible drawings and constructions with explorations of infinity, architecture and tessellations. I am a huge fan, love wandering aorund in his weird world, and now as a Diploma student who has been introduced to ‘Social constructivism’, I cant help thinking of him again and especially: the drawings hands ‘1948, shown above.
Below you see my impossible experiment, that resulted in ‘the Impossible Chair’. When you look through the eye hole (like on the first picture,) then the construction ‘gather’ – and becomes an impossible figur: the Impossible Chair – as shown on the bottom photo.
